Go the Distance, an exciting social media powered microsite for the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon 2011, invites people to share their reasons to run in the marathon in the form of photos and videos – with friends, fellow runners and fans of Standard Chartered UAE. We were chosen to conceptualise, design and develop this CMS powered content sharing and contest website.
With the help of this microsite and its powerful CMS, Standard Chartered benefited its brand by adding new fans, they have been able to communicate with on an ongoing basis through the social network. The site was a great success with 100,000 plus Facebook impressions and 56,000 page views. The activity helped Standard Chartered Dubai to connect with a mass new audience via the social media platforms.
